Harvesting Invasive Green Crabs
Directed, shot, produced. European Green Crabs are a voracious invasive species on New England coastlines, and they’ve changed our ecosystems substantially. Based on NH Sea Grant research, Mike Masi is piloting a soft-shell harvest of green crabs to put this invasive species to work.

Directed, shot, produced. Residents in Hampton, NH are already experiencing climate consequences, but the chronic flooding is hard to track and predict. Students from UNH are building sensors for residents to understand the threat and make changes to increase resilience.

Directed, shot, produced. How do you grow fish in cages without impacting the ecosystem you’re in? The Aquafort combines shellfish and algae to create a nitrogen neutral aquaculture system.

NH Oyster Growers: COVID Relief and Restoration
Directed, shot, produced. When restaurants closed because of the COVID crisis, oyster farmers were left with thousands of extra oysters they couldn’t sell. NH Sea Grant is putting those oysters to work. Full package including short film piece for social media, one pager, and photos.

NH-Grown Striped Bass Aquaculture
Directed, shot, produced. Commercial harvest of striped bass is illegal in New Hampshire, but recreational fishermen know and love catching and eating the fish. Researchers at UNH are collaborating with local chefs to create a farmed striped bass, providing the area with local sustainable seafood and kick starting an industry.
