Two weeks in July.
My time in Iceland was split in two parts. The first half I spent on the Troll Peninsula in Northern Iceland, just shy of the Arctic Circle. Long days that had something close to a sunset that lasted for hours between one and four AM lended themselves well to exploration and excitement.
During the second half, we circumnavigated the island by sea, stopping in several ports: Heimaey Island, Sey∂isfjör∂ur, Akureyri, Ísafjör∂ur, Grundarfjö∂ur, and Reykjavík. We kayaked, whale watched, hiked, and always photographed.
