Dive 3, Rhino Reef and Mangrove Fish Sampling

Today was an off day from class, so we headed out to Rhino Reef to check out the fish in preparation for our fish identification practical tomorrow. Rhino reef was healthy, with lots of fish species and good coral cover.

After, I helped out to catch fish for our class tank, specifically two juvenile Great Barracudas, each just two inches long! Great Barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) of all sizes can be found taking refuge in the mangrove roots, from the very small that we caught, up to a couple feet long.
